Gabby: The Little Dog that had to Learn to Bark (by Barby Keel) … good book, though the title is misleading

This is a moving story about Gabby and how she affects the life of the author, Barby Keel. Her animal sanctuary is an amazing rescue venue that helps provide a safe place for animals who need to transition to new homes. While the story revolves more around the author and the sanctuary. I would have enjoyed more of a focus on Gabby. Gabby’s story is touching. Her slow adjustment in discovering how to be a dog was tender and the author’s efforts to train Gabby were admirable. While a good book, the title is misleading. It is less a story of Gabby.
