Dad (by Steven Manchester) … an emotional read that will stay with you long after you’ve read the last page.

I read the last sentence and closed the book with tears streaming down my face.  Such an emotional read that will stay with me for a long time.  As you travel through the lives of three men … grandfather, father, and son … you will experience the challenges they each face.  Viewing their personal challenges, triumphs, and failures will tug at your heart.  I loved Robert’s (the grandfather) quirky sense of humor.  Even as life threw him a curveball, he kept his humor.  Each of these men have a depth that emerges through the pages.  The history of Robert (the grandfather) and Oliver (the father) play into their relationship with each other as well as Oliver’s relationship with his wife, son, and daughter.

As you watch these men deal with love, loss, mistakes, dedication, and forgiveness, you will cheer them on as your heart fills to overflowing.  Put this book at the top of your to-be-read list.  It’s worth the cost of the box of tissues you’ll need to have on hand!

Thank you to Story Plant and the author for my advanced review copy.  All opinions and thoughts are my own.
