Whew! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I opened up this book, but from the first page I began wondering about all the secrets the characters are hiding. It’s obvious that things are not as they seem.
I fell in love with Jessica. She was such a sweet child and her sense of imagination was delightful. And while there seemed to be something unsettling with Angie, her love for children and her ability to keep them entertained and encourage their imagination made up for anything negative you felt. There are constant twists and turns and you will continue to make assumptions and judgments based on clues and “evidence.”
My heart broke when Jessica disappeared and I made an assumption about who was guilty. But hold onto your seats because you will be shocked in the end.
