I didn’t realize until the end of this book that it was a sequel. So having not read the first book, I think I missed out on some of the background. However, I enjoyed the book enough that I bought “The Paris Effect.”
I was not a fan of Amy at the beginning of the book. I felt like she was a little self-absorbed, but as I got further involved in the book, I began to understand her better and the decisions she made. There are some quirky characters and you will love some and hate others!
I felt like Marguerite’s nervous breakdown was a little bizarre. It did not seem to be resolved in a believable way.
There were some twists and turns and I loved how Amy’s adventure in Paris gives the reader a delightful tour of this delightful city. You will also be exposed to an emotional journey as life brings surprises, anxiety, anger, friendship, and love to Amy.
Thank you to NetGalley and Velvet Morning Press for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
