Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe (by Fannie Flagg) … fall in love with the book and the wonderful characters

After falling in love with the movie many years ago, I have had this book on my to-be-read list for a long time. I ended up listening to the audiobook. And I believe I enjoyed it even more than reading a paper/ebook version. The narration was spot on with the Southern accent and lingo.

While the book is a little slow to draw you in at the beginning, do not give up! Your attention will eventually be captured and you’ll be hanging on to see happens next. Between Idgie and Ruth and Mrs. Threadgooe and Evelyn, you will be entertained and enthralled with the shenanigans, adventures, and against-the-majority decisions that are made.

I LOVED this book and would highly recommend it to everyone!
