This was a good cozy mystery…one of my favorite genres at this point in time. And there is so much to love about this series…lots of wonderful characters, a small town, friends who support each other, a mystery, and a strong heroine. The one thing that turned me off a little bit was the fact that the main character, Samantha (Sammy) was a little too impulsive and stuck her nose in where it did not belong and could have led to the police, and her potential boyfriend, from being able to solve the crime. She was just too intense and wouldn’t listen to reason.
This book had a bonus in that there was a double mystery. There were two murders, but you weren’t sure if there was a connection between the two of them…especially since they occurred years apart. But if you love a mystery, you will love delving into this story.
Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
