The Lost Sister (by Tracy Buchanan) … how far would you go to find closure with your family

What a bunch of twists! I was reading the end of the book at my mother’s house and kept gasping in shock. I love a book that keeps catching me by surprise!

The story itself was okay…not one of the best books I’ve ever read. But I have to say that the ending made it worth sticking with the story. I think one of the issues I had was with the main character, Selma. Her ability to lie with no effort was a little irritating. I know there are people like that, but they are not people I admire.

I would definitely give the author, Tracy Buchanan, another chance and will read other books she has written.

This book follows two story lines…one in the present day and one in the past (Selma’s daughter, Becky’s childhood). It flowed easily and the back-and-forth was easy to follow.

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
